The Trigonometry test is tomorrow. You should study your practice test and worksheets.
Also, remember that the 5-2/5-5, 7-2/7-3, 7-4/7-5, and p.459 worksheets are due tomorrow as well as your unit circle. I will be online sometime after open house if you have any questions.

Hey mr hickman are u on??
ok when u have cos(x+45)+cos(x+45)=squareroot of 2....do u have the whole entire sum and diff formula plus it again =the squareroot of 2???
it's a fair amount of work, but not too difficult.
well i got it all wrote and i have the sqaureroot of 2 over 2 plugged in for all the sin 45 and cos 45 but now do i like multiply squareroot of 2 over 2 by itself like 4 times or what???
Are you sure that the problem is cos(x+45)+cos(x+45) instead of cos(x+45)+cos(x-45)?
because if it's cos(x+45)+cos(x+45), then you have:
cos(x+45)+cos(x+45)=sqrt(2)
2cos(x+45)=sqrt(2)
cos(x+45)=sqrt(2)/2
x+45=45 or x+45=315
I'll be back in a few minutes
o yeah it is!! lol! goos thinking! lol! ok so now what???
oh ok never mind that last comment...lol i just seen urs lol!!
ok wait im still confused! lol! so right now i have......cosx(sqrt2over2)-sinx(sqrt2over2)+cosx(sqrtsover2)+sinx(sqrt2over2)=sqrt2..................now what??
ohhh ok i canceled my sinxs and then i got 2cosx+1=sqrt2....is that right??
If I'm reading this correctly, once your sines cancelled out you should have had:
cosx*(sqrt(2)/2)+cosx(sqrt(2)/2)=sqrt(2)
If you then divide everything by sqrt(2)/2 you get:
cosx+cosx=2
2cosx=2
cosx=1
oh yea ok i see that....lol!! ok well that one was gay!! ok now the next one is sqrt2tanx=2sinx and i thought in class u said to multiply everything by cosx and then move everything to one side..i did that but now im stuck!!
factor out a sinx, then set both factors equal to zero
ok and how do u start sinx+cosx=0??
divide everything by cosx (you can divide here because you know that you're not dividing by zero--cosx=0 when x=90 or 270 and neither are solutions to sinx + cosx = 0).
then do u subtract 1?
yes
ok thanks i got it! lol! see you tomorrow!!
Good luck on the test.
